- Does it account for public holidays?
- The core calculation excludes weekends; add holiday exclusions manually for dates you know fall on a public holiday, since holidays vary by country and region.
- Why does adding 5 business days not always land exactly one week later?
- Because weekends are skipped in the count — if the start date is a Thursday, 5 business days lands on the following Thursday, not the Tuesday a naive 5-calendar-day addition would give.
- Can I count backward from a date?
- Yes — subtracting business days from a date works the same way, skipping weekends in the backward count.
