JSON Path Finder — Extract Data With Dot/Bracket Notation

Paste JSON and write a JSONPath expression using dot or bracket notation to see the matching data extracted live — the type-to-extract counterpart to JSON Path Navigator's click-to-get-path approach, for when you already know roughly what path you need and want to test or refine it.

How to use JSON Path Finder

  1. Paste your JSON.
  2. Write a JSONPath expression.
  3. See the matching data extracted live.
  4. Refine the expression as needed.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from JSON Path Navigator?
This is type-to-extract: write a path expression and see what it matches. JSON Path Navigator is click-to-get-path: click a node in a visual tree to get its path — opposite directions of the same task.
Does it support both dot and bracket notation?
Yes — $.store.book[0].title and $["store"]["book"][0]["title"] style expressions are both supported.
What happens if my expression matches nothing?
It reports no match found rather than an error, so you can tell immediately if the path needs adjusting.
